Under the patronage of Dr. Nasser El‑Gizawy, President of Benha University; Dr. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Mohamed El‑Ashhab, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; and Dr. Nermeen Adly, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, the activities of the “Safe Community Without Addiction” initiative were launched at the Faculties of Physical Therapy and Sports Sciences to raise students’ awareness about addiction.

The activities were organized in coordination with Dr. Sherine El‑Kholy, Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine and Clinical Toxicology at the Faculty of Medicine, and Ms. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary-General for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the severe health risks associated with addiction and to encourage university students to adopt a healthy, addiction‑free lifestyle. It focused on increasing awareness of the health, economic, and social consequences of addiction; discussing recovery strategies and the role of community support; highlighting anti‑addiction policies and the importance of regulatory laws; and exchanging experiences while providing practical tips to overcome addiction.

Under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, and under the supervision and follow-up of the esteemed Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Gehan Abdelhadi, the Faculty of Education Journal – Benha University has achieved fourth place at the Arab world level as one of the most downloaded journals, according to the 2025 Mandumah Database Report on Research and Download Indicators.

? The forum is held within the framework of the presidential initiative “Be Prepared”, supporting the state's efforts to prepare and qualify youth for the labor market and enhance their professional readiness.

? The event will take place on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the University’s campus in Obour City, aiming to strengthen the connection between university students and graduates and the labor market through a job fair, workshops, and specialized career sessions.
