As part of the college’s commitment to supporting students’ mental health and enhancing their ability to cope with academic pressures, the College Psychological Support Unit organized an awareness seminar titled:
“Study Calmly… Take Exams with Confidence: Your Guide to Dealing with Exam Anxiety.”
The seminar was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Magdy El‑Shahat, Dean of the College; Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ashour, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ibrahim El‑Ghoneimy, Director of the College Psychological Support Unit.
The seminar was delivered by Dr. Hend Yehia Kamel, a member of the Psychological Support Unit, who addressed several important topics. أبرز these were effective study habits and their role in reducing anxiety levels. She also explained that anxiety is not always negative; rather, it can be a healthy, motivating form of anxiety that helps improve performance when properly directed. In addition, a range of effective strategies was presented to help students control and manage anxiety in a positive way, enhancing their self‑confidence during the examination period.
At the conclusion of the seminar, it was emphasized that the Psychological Support Unit always keeps its doors open to all students to provide support and assistance, listen to their concerns, and help them overcome difficulties. A questionnaire was also administered to attendees to identify their anxiety levels and patterns, reflecting the unit’s commitment to offering services based on students’ actual needs.
The college affirms its ongoing commitment to organizing such activities aimed at supporting mental health and creating a safe and motivating educational environment for all students.
